Arctic Monkeys - Fluorescent Adolescent

The video above is Fluorescent Adolescent by Arctic Monkeys. The video is pretty original. Anyway, I have to say something (and this is going to piss some people off). I absolutely HATE the kind of "alternative" crap that is flooding the radio such as, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, etc. For one, they all sound EXACTLY the same. Bad lead singer with a wailing voice that makes my ears bleed, bad music and horrible lyrics. It's like they all share the same song and change the lyrics. How can anyone listen to that? I'm not saying that the kind of music I like is THE BEST. But it is certainly BETTER and the songs differ. In fact, all of the bands I like are completely different. I can't pick any two bands that I listen to that are REMOTELY the same. Besides the basics of course (having a drummer, guitar and singer). But that's as similar as they get. I would rather listen to COUNTRY than Fall Out Boy, etc. Yeah, that's how bad it is. And I absolutely HATE country, for the record. Okay, I'm done. Current song: Your Biggest Fan by Voxtrot.

Still trying...

Well, I'm still trying to figure this whole blogging thing out. So that is why the page may be a little messed up until I figure everything out. Anyway, current song: Lambs by The Phoenix Foundation. I listened to them over the summer. They are definitely a summer band and probably should not be listened to in the winter, like an awesome car that you don't want to get wet and gross from salt and snow and rain in the winter. Also, they make me think of summer which is a half-year away, and that isn't good cause then I realize how far away that is. Current list of favorite bands:

Katie Jane

She wanted me to put her in this. So there you go, Katie. Anyway, I'm going to focus on music. Current song: Long Haul by Voxtrot. I saw them in concert with Arctic Monkeys (I'll get to them later). And after, I met the lead singer, Ramesh. Well, I met him twice. The first time was during the Arctic Monkeys' portion (which kicked ass). He came from somewhere to our right and pushed his way through right in front of us and started to smoke in this circle. Then the second time he was by the place where you buy T-Shirts and such selling his CDs and stuff. And we talked to him for a while. I bought a LP from him and stuff. Anyway, Arctic Monkeys, arguably one of the greatest bands to come out of England (Led Zeppelin, is up there too). See, I don't really like The Beatles. Well, their music. The fact that they pioneered modern rock is tight. Arctic Monkeys is awesome. They have two different styles of music with the same style of lyrics. The first style of music is the hardcore stuff. It's good to listen to before a game of some sort or to just plain rock out before a party. I'd say 64% of their music is this style. The second style is the Indie rock stuff that isn't as hard. I like that style better for just laying around and chilling. Although, I love all of their music. Their lyrics are all about people and society in general. Usually stuff that is wrong with it. Such as, their song, "When The Sun Goes Down" Here's a portion of the lyrics:

Most of their lyrics are kind of like that. Well, that style. Alex Turner is the lead singer. They are my favorite overall band. The Killers are pretty good also, I forgot to add them to my initial list of favorite bands in my first post. I gotta run.

The First Song.

The first song is the first song on the album, "Everything All the Time" by Band of Horses. They were the first band that I saw in concert last August. They were touring with Modest Mouse. Anyway, The First Song is pretty good, although, I get sick of BoH pretty easily. Instead, I prefer to listen to Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Cake, Interpol, and some hardcore Indie stuff. Music is my true love. I play guitar and I'm trying to form a band. Yeah, it's getting late so I'm going to head off.
